While all bloggers are seeking traffic, only a small percentage of blogs have found the secret of acquiring loyal readers, who don't only stop by once, but do so regularly. Let's take a look at some ways that your blog can have this elusive quality of getting people to return on a regular basis. I also list out some sites that have good number of readers: Gardening tips, Schwinn recumbent bike, Backpacking tips

Ask Questions: Whether you want your blog readership to become new RSS subscribers or comment on your blog, request that they take action at the end of your blog posts. If you do not ask them to do it, they will not know to take action. The number one rule of creating an effective readership for your blog is to encourage your readers to take some kind of an action. This would make them become a special part of your blog. At the end of each post, ask your readers to do something that will make things better for them as well as you. For instance, you can leave your readers with a question that demands their opinion. Or, you can prompt them to subscribe to your RSS feed so that they will not miss anything in the future. Devise a creative method. Become knowledgeable about the kinds of things that you can do to turn blog visitors into consistent blog readers. Readers Must Come First: The success of your blog ultimately depends on your readers, so always make sure that their needs and interests are your priority. Those blogs that do the most effective job of meeting the needs of their readers are the ones that receive the most return visitors. Try to come up with unique advantages you can offer your readers, so they have a real reason to seek out your blog. You should make sure everything you publish, as well as your blog's appearance, is high quality and original. You want your visitors to start seeing your blog as their main source of information, at least as far as your particular niche goes. Blog readers are always looking for new and original stuff that can help them in some way or the other, even if it means basic entertainment. Another way your blog should stand out is in the way you respond to your audience, whether this means customer service, answering questions or responding promptly to comments that people leave.

Do Something Original: The are tons of copycat blogs on the internet.

This means that the internet does not have a need for more unoriginal blogs. But there are plenty of good blogs that have made the choice to be different. Because they made this choice, they have a good readership. Whenever you make the decision to be exceptional, you are turning away from traditional methods and are creating your own way of doing things. This will help you to convince your readers that you are trustworthy and they will follow you. Handle things differently and help others while doing it. You will earn more than you thought.

If you look closer, you will find that unpopular blogs do not build up a huge readership because they are taking their readers for granted. You should try to make the most out of each and every visitor on your blog to grow your blog's readership and take it to the next level.
